Klingon Embassy |

Welcome to the Klingon Embassy‘Welcome, welcome, brave traveller. You’ve found your way to the Klingon Embassy. I hope my Security officers weren’t to rough when the checked you for concealed weapons. I’m glad that they didn’t find anything; otherwise we’d be having this conversation in the stations brig. Which isn’t nearly as impressive as the Embassy.’
‘So come on in. This is the Entrance hall, the largest room at the embassy with it’s reproduction frescos and tapestries, which I’m told, are exact copies of those found in the caves and temples on the Monastery world of Boreth. The life-sized white marble figures that you see, are of Kahless the unforgettable, and his bondmate Lady Lukara, as you can see, even though, we are aboard a state of the art space station, we Klingons prefer the more Traditional materials, an architectural style found on the Klingon Homeworld. We also like our weapons, the crescent shaped Bat’leths, and smaller Mek’leths, are among the seventy or more bladed weapons on display here. Including as you can see, spears, swords, daggers and knives. We are rightly proud of our warrior heritage.’ You’ve probably noticed the large fireplace and the marble wolfs head above it. This wolf-like animal is known and feared on the Klingon Homeworld, we call it the Melk’tag. It is the symbol of my Clan, the Clan Makura.’
‘Okay, if you’ll follow me through these large Micayah wood Iron bound doors, you find yourself in the inner hall. (Or meeting hall.) There are three doors off from this room. The first are the Embassies suite of Offices and guest rooms. The Second, is the Turbolift, which takes you down to my private shuttlebay, and warehouses It’s from here, that I can take the Airlock to the my ship, the Diplomacy.‘ The Third door, leads to the kitchens, animal pens and butchery. (Please remember, that we Klingons eat a lot of very fresh meat.) But, I’m getting sidetracked. Let’s go and look at my offices. As you can see, these doors, like all doors in the Embassy, though old fashioned in appearance are equipped with the latest in security devices. Here I’m afraid is another security precaution.
These ladies in the blood red armour are the benI’ qan. They’re a monastic order of elite female warriors, sworn to protect my staff and I, with their lives. But as you’re with me, you can consider yourself safe. The next door down, is the Office of b’Sel, my Chief of Staff. It’s from here that much of the day-to-day running of the Embassy is done. b’Sel has personal staff of around thirty to aid her in her work. The door, at the end of the room, leads into my outer office. You don’t get in to see me, without first seeing b’Sel for an appointment. This room handles incoming and outgoing communications. It’s also from here, that all the Klingon Ships within the sector are controlled from the Holographic map table.
Welcome to my outer office. It’s here that I entertain, Alien diplomats from all over the Galaxy. The whole room is rigged with numerous holodeck imagers. So that information, maps or imagery can be projected over my office window. This can be used as either an aid to memory, or for illustration purposes. This room even has it’s own, well stocked bar, whether, your poison is Vulcan port, bloodwine or Romulan ale. I have the best brands and vintages in store. Behind this Klingon Trefoil banner, is the door to my inner sanctum, which in turn leads to my personal armoury and private quarters.
It’s here, that I entertain friends. It’s here that I have a large and eclectic library. As I’m fluent in Klingon, Terran. Romulan and Cardassian, I have a number of beautiful first editions. I also have access to translations of almost any book ever written from the Starbases main computer. The paintings in my room include a Romulan sunset, a Vulcan contemplative abstract. And paintings of images, from various Klingon legends. It’s also here that I keep my Khem’letch, a kind of Klingon synth-harp. (Yes I play a musical instrument. When time allows.) It’s also here, that I keep some of the things that I’ve collected, or been given over the years. An Andorian blue Diamond, An antique Bajoran crystal carving of a woman at prayer. A small Vulcan gong. A Jem’Hadar fighting stick etc . . .
Yes, it’s from here, that I serve the Empire to the best of my ability . . . |
